2016 Nissan Rogue Overview
The 2016 Nissan Rogue has been one of Nissan’s greatest successes – since its redesign back in the 2014 model year, it has been placed on “Best SUV,” “Best Family Car,” and “Best Value” lists, including a listing on Kelley Blue Book’s “10 Best All-Wheel-Drive Vehicles Under $25,000.” The Rogue was also listed as a 2015 “Top Safety Pick” by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. Today, the Rogue is Nissan’s second-best-selling vehicle in the entire US market.
The 2016 Rogue comes in three trims (S, SV, and SL) with a number of packages, including the Family package (S and SV trims), which adds a third seating row and run-flat tires; an S Trim Appearance package, which combines the Family package with roof rails, turn-signal-integrated side mirrors, and chrome door handles; and Premium packages (SV and SL trims) which add a number of safety and infotainment features.

The Rogue is designed to be compact overall, but to provide lots of interior space using a long wheelbase, front and rear overhangs, and 77-degree-opening rear doors. In addition, the Rogue’s exterior is designed to reduce the drag co-efficient to 0.33 and mitigate air turbulence behind the body, using spoilers, under-body covers, front tire deflectors, and specially-designed rearview mirrors.
