You’re going to need a bigger carrying case

Ever since the initial reveal of the 2018 Chevrolet Camaro Hot Wheels 50th Anniversary Edition back in October of last year, one question has been continuously raised about the model: “When can I order one?” After months of waiting, fans of Chevrolet and the Hot Wheels brand finally have their answer.

Orders for the 2018 Camaro Hot Wheels 50th Anniversary Edition will open on February 1.

“Since the Camaro Hot Wheels 50th Anniversary Edition debuted last October, we’ve been overwhelmed with the passionate interest from Camaro and Hot Wheels fans alike,” said Todd Christensen, Marketing manager for Chevrolet Camaro. “We’re thrilled that the Camaro Hot Wheels 50th Anniversary Edition will soon be hitting the streets, building upon an already formidable lineup that includes the Camaro Redline Edition and Camaro ZL1 1LE.”

The Hot Wheels-themed package is available for the Camaro’s 2LT and 2SS coupe and convertible configurations. The package itself is offered for an additional price of $4,995.

“I’ve got my orange crush”

The most striking feature of the Camaro Hot Wheels 50th Anniversary Edition is its bright orange “Crush” color scheme. That orange coloration seeps into the interior as well, with bright orange stitching and highlights featured throughout.

Other features that come equipped with the package include 20-inch aluminum wheels, orange brake calipers, a black Chevrolet bowtie emblem, and embossed front-seat headrests. The special edition Camaro is also lined with official Hot Wheels badging in various locations, like the fender and steering wheel.

The history between Hot Wheels and the Chevrolet Camaro is a long and celebrated one. The Camaro was chosen as one of the original 16 vehicles for the Hot Wheels lineup when the toyline first debuted 50 years ago in 1968.

Five decades later, automotive enthusiasts will finally have the chance to drive a bonafide, life-size Hot Wheels model of their very own.
