[PHOTOS] Europe Gets Sporty Hyundai Tucson N Line

Hyundai is adding the first SUV to its sporty N Line — but only in Europe.
The new Hyundai Tucson N Line offers three different powertrains (including two diesel mild hybrids), along with a higher-performance suspension, more engaged steering, and numerous N Line-specific design features both inside and out.
“With the new Tucson N Line, Hyundai now provides the sporty feeling to customers who also want the versatility and comfort of an SUV,” said Andreas-Christoph Hoffman, Hyundai Motor Europe’s vice president of marketing and product. “Tucson is our best-selling model in Europe and it is positioned right at the heart of our brand, so we are excited to introduce the N Line character to our customers in this segment.”

The Tucson N Line can be had in both FWD and AWD, and a trio of powertrains are available:
- A 2.0-liter mild hybrid diesel engine that makes 182 horsepower
- A 1.6-liter mild hybrid diesel that generates 134 horsepower and cuts fuel consumption by 11 percent
- A 1.6-liter turbocharged gas engine that puts out 174 horsepower
Increased suspension-spring rigidity and updated motor-driven power steering inject some extra sportiness into the Tucson N Line’s performance. The SUV’s unique exterior features include nine paint color options, dark 19-inch alloy wheels, a gloss-black rear spoiler, a dark mesh grille with dark chrome, and a variety of dark accents. Inside, the Tucson N Line offers leather-suede sport seats with red accent stitching, a leather-wrapped gear shift also with red accents, and alloy pedals.
