[Photos] Feast Your Eyes on the Redesigned 2019 Lincoln MKC
Lincoln Motor Company today took the cover off the new 2019 Lincoln MKC, which receives the new signature look of the brand, a trio of exclusive Lincoln Black Label Themes, and more technology. The MKC, which originally joined the lineup in 2014, has been key to Lincoln’s success over the past several years—it’s noted in particular that more than half of all MKC buyers to this point have been women, who have been significant growth drivers in the luxury segment in the past decade.
“Our redesigned Lincoln MKC offers style, substance and technologies that create an effortless ownership experience,” said Kumar Galhotra, president, The Lincoln Motor Company. “We recognize it takes a lot to attract a buyer from other luxury competitors, but the Lincoln MKC has that kind of appeal. We believe the new MKC will capture even more luxury clients.”

The most noticeable update with the 2019 Lincoln MKC is its new face—it now wears Lincoln’s signature one-piece grille, which positions the Lincoln Star emblem amidst a sea of Lincoln Star motifs, all flanked by sharp LED headlights and daytime running lamps. This enables the new MKC to offer Lincoln Embrace, which uses approach detection to turn on the lights and deploy a welcome mat-like puddle lamp below both front doors.
On the inside, the newest offering is a Rialto Green interior theme with black as wood accents for the Reserve trim. Taking luxury a step further is the Lincoln Black Label package, which adds three unique themes: Modern Heritage, Indulgence, and Center Stage. Modern Heritage sets Vianca White Venetian leather seats against Argento wood accents for a clean, calming look. Indulgence offers Venetian leather and Alcantara-finished surfaces in Truffle or Ganache with Ziricote wood accents, evoking everything from rich chocolates to the warm notes of a musical instrument. Center Stage offers a diamond-L perforation pattern on its Alcantara cloth inserts with Foxfire Red pipe stitching, Jet Black Venetian leather with Firefox Red accents, and genuine wood accents.
The 2019 Lincoln MKC will also offer SYNC 3 as the standard infotainment system, meaning Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard at all levels. Built-in Wi-Fi will also be standard across all trims. In terms of safety, the 2019 MKC is offered with Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection and available active park assist and Blind Spot Information System with cross-traffic alert.
Beneath the hood, the new MKC is powered by a standard 245-horsepower 2.0-liter turbo or an available 2.3-liter twin-scroll turbo that doles out 285 horsepower and 305 lb-ft of torque. Either engine can be paired with Lincoln’s intelligent all-wheel-drive system.
And as Lincoln focuses increasingly on being an experience-based brand, the 2019 Lincoln MKC is offered with Lincoln Concierge and Pickup and Delivery through the Lincoln Way app.
“For Lincoln, every client is unique, and we want every element of the Lincoln shop, buy and own process to be a truly personalized and effortless experience,” said Galhotra.
The 2019 Lincoln MKC is set to arrive next summer and will likely make its world premiere next month at the LA Auto Show.
