On-the-go connectivity
You’re probably already familiar with Infiniti’s dual-screen infotainment system setup, known as INFINITI InTouch. The new infotainment system will retain the name while adding features that Infiniti drivers have been demanding. Namely, the select vehicles will now offer both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. You’ll also be able to use your Infiniti as a mobile Wi-Fi hotspot. Thanks to its new in-vehicle Wi-Fi capabilities, your Infiniti can connect to up to seven devices at once, so you and your passengers don’t have to use personal data to browse on the go. The system even supports over-the-air updates via your home Wi-Fi network.
“Connectivity on the move is more important to drivers than ever – it allows them to keep up-to-date with the latest traffic information, while passengers can stream, surf, video call and more at their leisure,” said Infiniti General Manager of Product Strategy & Planning, Eric Rigaux. He also explained that the updated system is faster and more intuitive than its predecessor.
Best of all, you won’t even have to take your eyes off of the road to use some of these handy features. Thanks to Siri Eyes Free and Hands Free, you can use voice commands to send texts, make calls, and adjust audio settings.

Enhanced navigation
The InTouch system is also receiving significant updates to its navigation capabilities. Thanks to its Internet connectivity, it can now provide real-time traffic updates, turn-by-turn directions, and intelligent rerouting.
The navigation systems maps will now offer detailed satellite views, 3D maps, and Destinations by Google functionality, which makes it easier to locate and choose points of interest to visit.
