Skeletor Walks Us Through His #Skeletakeover of the Honda Twitter Account
We had a somewhat unusual experience at the office today when we noticed we had gotten an email from Skeletor. It’s pretty standard for car companies and their representatives to send us information, scoops, press releases, etc; but this was the first time any of us can recall receiving an email from a toy. As He-Man’s arch-enemy and the self-proclaimed Lord of Destruction, Skeletor is also notable for being by far the most evil person to have ever emailed us (wait, actually, that title might belong to Dr. Kambiz Youabian, who once sent an email threatening to sue us for calling his car ugly).
Skeletor, the most viral action figure featured in Honda’s classic toy ad campaign, recently “hacked” the Honda Twitter account. In the email below, he tipped us off to his new Instagram account, which reveals the details behind his #Skeletakeover.
Salutations mortal,
I, Skeletor, master of the known Twitterverse, have emerged from the shadows once again to wreak havoc and stoke the fires of evilness. My latest order of evil business: revealing TO THE WORLD the secret of how I hacked Honda’s Twitter account.on Instagram!
Just go to @Skeletakeover on Instagram to learn how I pulled it off (without opening a single dimensional portal). As you’ll soon see, it was pure genius the likes of which might never be seen again And it will no doubt make other evildoers pathetically jealous.feel free to say that in your write up. ?
Below is a link. Feel free to share it amongst others of your species.
All the worst,

That’s right, Skeletor has gone all O.J. on us. Well actually, unlike O.J. Simpson, he’s dropped the pretense of pretending he wasn’t the guilty party, which is more admirable, we suppose.
So, how did Skeletor “hack” the Honda Twitter account? Well, according to the story laid out in the new Skeletor Instagram account, he began the #Skeletakeover by gaining entry into American Honda Motor headquarters with a temporary visitor’s pass.

Next, Skeletor broke into the control room (apparently, Honda has an official “control room” just for their Twitter account) with the aid of his minions.

Then he got to work promoting his new music video – and he would’ve gotten away with it too, if it weren’t for those meddling kids! No, actually, that’s the wrong cartoon. Believe it or not, the #Skeletakeover was actually foiled by Gumby.
Could’ve Twittered with mortals for ages. But then THIS guy showed up asking SO. MANY. QUESTIONS. #Buzzkill #GoAwayGumby #Skeletakeover A photo posted by Skeletor (@skeletakeover) on
Finally, Skeletor snuck out of the building by hiding in an employee’s purse, and concluded by promising his eventual return with the hashtag #IWillBeBack.

Well done, Skeletor. We look forward to your next PR stunt.
