Name a more predictable duo than Toyota and racking up trophies during NASCAR weekends. Go ahead, we’re waiting. Over the last few years, you’d be hard-pressed to name one. The automaker has been sweeping races left and right almost effortlessly, and the last weekend produced even more awards for what we can only assume is a football field-sized trophy room.

During the NASCAR Cup Series race at Richmond Raceway on Saturday night, Toyota Camry drivers led 311 of the 400 laps, with Joe Gibbs Racing drivers sweeping the top three positions for the third time this season.

Martin Truex Jr, Kyle Busch, and Denny Hamlin battled throughout the entire race, with Truex finally passing Busch for the lead and the eventual win with 25 laps to go. It marked Truex’s first career back-to-back win and his sixth win of the season.

Did You Know? Tires are the most important part of your car

“I’m speechless,” Truex said after the race. “Just an unbelievable job by all my guys. Had a heck of a race with Kyle and Denny all night long really, and we just kept plugging away at it as we always do. We just keep digging and we never quit. Next thing you know, catching the 18 for the lead, I’m like, ‘cool, all right, here we go.’ To sweep Richmond finally is pretty awesome.”

The night before, Christopher Bell had kicked off the NASCAR Xfinity Series Playoffs with his seventh victory of the season, leading a career-high 238 laps of 250, ensuring he’ll advance to the next round of the playoffs.

And finally, in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East competition, Ty Gibbs enjoyed his first victory in just six starts at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, leading an incredible 112 laps of 125. His teammate finished second, contributing to six Camry drivers in the top 10.
