What Might Be Included on New Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing
The up-and-coming Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing is not set to debut for some time. However, based on new spy photos, rumors surfaced about what features could be on the latest model.
A Look Back: The first CT5 sedan
Possible attributes of the CT5-V Blackwing
It’s expected that the new CT5-V Blackwing will have an all-new grille and redesigned front air intakes. The car could also come with alloy wheels and wheel arches that are wider. Similarly, the car could drive on Michelin tires.
There will likely be heat extractors located on the back of the front fenders and a spoiler that’s included. While nothing is certain about the engine, rumors are that one of two engines is likely to be under the hood.
The first possible engine is the 4.2-liter Blackwing V8 engine, which is already offered in the Cadillac CT6-V. The other potential engine is a version of the 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine, such as the 6.2-liter LT4 engine that resides in the CTS-V.
No matter which V8 engine powers the sedan, you can expect there to be stronger brakes and new upgrades to the performance suspension. A 10-speed automatic transmission will also be included, and there might be a manual transmission available.
Prototypes of the sedan were seen driving around with the Cadillac CTS-V, which can reach a speed of 200 mph and go 0 to 60 mph in just 3.7 seconds.
