J.D. Power released its 2017 Thailand Initial Quality Study at the end of November, revealing Ford to be the winner for overall quality in three key segments. “It is an honor to receive such recognition from J.D. Power as a symbol to the initial quality we set forth in every Ford vehicle,” said Ford ASEAN President and Ford Thailand Managing Director Yukontorn “Vickie” Wisadkosin. “The Everest’s bold design and refined interior coupled with industry-leading advanced driver assist technologies continues to deliver excellent capability and comfort to Thai consumers.”

The Everest topped its segment with a score of 56 PP100, easily beating out the second-place Isuzu MU-X (69 PP100) and the large SUV average of 70 PP100. With a score of 80 PP100, the Ford Ranger Hi-Ride X-Cab earned an easy win over the Toyota Hilux Revo Prerunner Smart Cab (89 PP100) and well outpaced the segment average of 103 PP100. Earning its second IQS victory in a row, the Ford Ranger D-Cab scored 60 PP100, 27 PP100 fewer than the average for the segment.

“Such satisfaction assessments reconfirm the feedback we receive from customers in terms of the Ranger and Everest’s ability to deliver high quality,” Wisadkosin added. “As we continue to grow in the market, we will stay resolute and focused on our efforts to further enhance the Ford customer and ownership experience through an unparalleled commitment to vehicle quality and services,”
