The 2027 Grand Cherokee Trailhawk returns as the rugged option in the range, with standard 4×4 hardware, air suspension, skid plates, and all-terrain tires. The Overland also comes back, positioned by Jeep as the “premium off-road model.”

This update gives the Grand Cherokee lineup a broader spread after its 2026 refresh. Pricing has not been announced yet, and both trims are scheduled to go on sale later this year.

The Trailhawk Brings Back Off-Road Equipment

The 2027 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk comes standard with Quadra-Trac II 4×4, Selec-Terrain traction control with rock mode, and Quadra-Lift air suspension.

It also gets a rear electronic limited-slip differential and 30.5-inch Goodyear Wrangler Territory All-Terrain tires. Jeep adds six high-strength steel skid plates to protect key components, including the turbocharged 2.0-liter Hurricane 4 Turbo engine and eight-speed automatic transmission.

That engine produces 324 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque. The Trailhawk also has 11.4 inches of ground clearance, a 36-degree approach angle, and a 30.3-degree departure angle, figures Motor1 reports are better than the previous Trailhawk.

A Revised Look Supports the Trailhawk’s Role

The 2027 Grand Cherokee Trailhawk gets a revised fascia that helps improve its approach angle. The trim also features red tow hooks, a matte-black hood decal, and 18-inch wheels.

Inside, the Trailhawk has black Nappa leather seats with red stitching. It is a direct, functional setup, but not a stripped-down one.

The trim’s identity is built around its hardware: 4×4 traction systems, air suspension, skid plates, all-terrain tires, and the Hurricane 4 Turbo engine.

The Overland Returns as the Premium Off-Road Model

Jeep says the 2027 Grand Cherokee Overland will serve as the “premium off-road model.” It comes with 21-inch wheels, bright tow hooks, a body-colored roof, and silver accents.

As reported by Motor1, the Overland includes Nappa leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, and unique “An-Teak” satin chrome trim accents.

The Overland also comes with Quadra-Trac II, including a two-speed transfer case, and Quadra-Lift suspension. Jeep will announce pricing closer to launch.
