2015 Canyon Test Drive Experience Provides Virtual Look at GMC’s Midsize Pickup
GMC maintains that its Canyon midsize pickup is “engineered for anywhere,” a mantra that it bandies about happily for its virtual test drive campaign.
By visiting www.engineeredforeverywhere.com, you are greeted by an interactive map that gives you the opportunity to “test drive” a GMC Canyon in four distinct surroundings—the city, a rural area, the mountains, and the shore. These situations offer different looks at different aspects of the Canyon and its abilities.
In the city, you are shown the benefits of an advanced suite of safety technologies. On the rural highway, you can see the Canyon’s effectiveness in various inclement conditions. In the mountains, you see the Canyon’s ability to handle steep inclines and declines. On the shore, you test out the Canyon’s towing and hauling capabilities. You can also input your zip code and see what a Canyon would look like on your street.
“The Canyon Experience will appeal to the variety of lifestyles and interests of our very diverse audience,” said Kenn Bakowski, Canyon marketing manager. “Customers can learn about the various Canyon attributes that interest them, including capability, safety, the quiet cabin, connectivity, and more.
“When they visit the site, customers also can choose different scenarios for their Canyon test drives – city, shore, mountains and rural. They can even ‘park’ a new Canyon close to their home to see how it looks, and share it socially,” Bakowski said. We set out to engage potential Canyon customers in a fun, creative way.”
