2016 Chevrolet Impala Performance
There are two engine options available for the Chevrolet Impala. The 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with variable valve timing is standard on the LS and 1LT trim levels, generating 195 horsepower and 187 lb-ft of torque. For the 2LT and 2LTZ trim levels, a 3.6-liter V6 engine with variable valve timing, 305 horsepower, and 264 lb-ft of torque is available. All engine options come with a six-speed automatic transmission with manual shifting.

The smaller 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine for the Chevrolet Impala gets 21 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway. The 3.6-liter V6 engine achieves 19 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway.
