The Chevrolet Impala’s color choices have changed slightly for 2016. This model year will also have an available option that will be allow smartphones to charge wirelessly, and the CD player will no longer be a standard feature.

2016 Chevrolet Impala Performance

There are two engine options available for the Chevrolet Impala. The 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with variable valve timing is standard on the LS and 1LT trim levels, generating 195 horsepower and 187 lb-ft of torque. For the 2LT and 2LTZ trim levels, a 3.6-liter V6 engine with variable valve timing, 305 horsepower, and 264 lb-ft of torque is available. All engine options come with a six-speed automatic transmission with manual shifting.

The smaller 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine for the Chevrolet Impala gets 21 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway. The 3.6-liter V6 engine achieves 19 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway.
