The 2016 Honda Accord sedan competes in the same segment as the Toyota Camry, Hyundai Sonata, and Subaru Legacy.

The 2016 Honda Accord Sedan comes in six trim levels: LX, Sport, EX, EX-L, EX-L (V6), and Touring.

What’s new for the 2016 Honda Accord?

The 2016 Honda Accord sedan features new exterior styling, as well as revised suspension dampers, which Edmunds says have improved the Accord’s ride quality. The 2016 Honda Accord sedan also offers its Honda Sensing package as a stand-alone option for the first time. Lastly, the new Accord’s 7-inch touchscreen is now compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, but that’s only for the EX and higher trims.

There are two engine options available for the 2016 Honda Accord sedan. The 2016 Accord comes standard with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine good for 185 horsepower and 181 lb-ft of torque. The other engine option is a 3.5-liter V6 that pumps out 278 horsepower and 252 lb-ft of torque. With the four-cylinder engine, buyers have the choice between a CVT automatic or six-speed manual transmission. With the V6 engine, the 2016 Honda Accord sedan is only available with a six-speed automatic transmission. It might be worth noting the four-cylinder engine equipped inside the 2016 Honda Accord Sport model features slightly more muscle, with its engine rated at 189 horsepower and 182 lb-ft of torque.
