The current rising star in the BMW lineup is undoubtedly the 2017 BMW X1. BMW’s most affordable SAV is experiencing massive sales growth so far this year, as the market for utility vehicles only expands at a more aggressive rate.

What’s New for the 2017 BMW X1

2017 BMW X1 Performance

As previously noted, the BMW X1 now comes standard with FWD. However, if BMW enthusiasts want to retain the classic feel of all-wheel drive, that system is available as well.

Under the hood, a 2.0-liter BMW TwinPower Turbo inline four-cylinder engine teams up with BMW’s Eight-speed STEPTRONIC automatic transmission. Together, they help the X1 produce 228 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque.
