2017 Chevrolet Cruze Hatchback Priced at $22,190
Last month, General Motors denied a report that Cadillac was planning a new hatchback model based on the platform used in the new Chevy Cruze, but as a consolation prize for hatch enthusiasts, GM has finally released pricing information for the 2017 Chevrolet Cruze hatchback.
The new Cruze hatchback will carry a starting MSRP of $22,190 when it hits dealerships in the fall. That price includes the destination charge, but does not account for tax, title, or other dealership fees.

The Cruze sedan is the bowtie brand’s best-selling model around the world and the new hatch version will offer additional cargo space of up to 42 cubic feet. In addition, the upcoming Chevy Cruze hatch will boast segment-exclusive features like 4G LTE with Wi-Fi hotspot, wireless charging, and Teen Driver technology. Driver and passengers that have smartphones will also be able to use Android Auto and Apple CarPlay with the Hatch’s MyLink radio system.
Underneath its hood, the 2017 Chevy Cruze hatch will come equipped with a 1.4-liter turbo engine with direct injection and stop-start technology, which will improve this Chevy’s overall fuel economy. The sedan version of the 2016 Cruze yields an EPA-estimated 42 mpg on the highway.
The 2017 Cruze hatch will be offered in LT and Premier trims, as well as with the available RS package.
Other available features include heated seats, Athens leather-appointed seating surfaces, and halogen headlamps with LED lighting.
“With 9 percent market growth in small hatchbacks last year, it’s the perfect time to bring the Cruze Hatch to America,” said Alan Batey, president, General Motors North America and Global Chevrolet. “As Cruze continues to set the tone for Chevrolet globally, it articulates the brand promise of offering cars with the latest technologies, more features and greater efficiency, performance and safety with fresh, distinctive styling.”
