2018 Honda Accord Named a ‘Must Test Drive’ Award Winner
Will a week ever go by without the 2018 Honda Accord adding another award to a trophy case that, at this point, likely needs to be extended to another wall? Maybe, but it is not this week.
This time around, the highly acclaimed car has earned its award from Autotrader, of which you may have heard thanks to Doug DeMuro. It received the publication’s “2018 Must Test Drive Award” and was especially lauded for its impressive fuel economy and excellent equipment. It was chosen as one of only a dozen other award winners.
“While most of the car-buying process has moved online, the in-person test drive continues to be a make or break aspect of the purchase decision, and it’s important to consider all your options,” said Brian Moody, executive director for Autotrader.

To determine which vehicles are most worthy of your test drive, Autotrader first does the job of getting behind the wheel of just about every new car on the market. It then narrows the selection to those available for under $75,000 and judges the remaining vehicles based on interior comfort and materials, ride quality, and available tech features.
Finally, every car on the list must have “some unexpected benefit or feature that changes the way you’d think of the car or brand in question.” When it came to the 2018 Honda Accord, Autotrader editors didn’t beat around the bush and straightforwardly admitted the car was simply “the best-ever version of the popular midsize sedan.”
So there you have it—the 2018 Honda Accord is a great car, and everyone apparently agrees. So if you hadn’t already, get out there and test drive it! Though based on how much praise this car has been receiving, you may have to wait in line first.
