2018 Honda Fit Goes On Sale Today With New Sport Trim
The 2018 Honda Fit is arriving at Honda dealerships today, complete with an updated new look, newer technology, available safety features, and a starting Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price of $16,190.
Also new for the 2018 model year is a new Sport trim and two additional exterior colors, Helios Yellow and Orange Fury.
The refreshed third-generation Honda Fit also retains the popular subcompact’s best-in-class combination of passenger space, fuel efficiency, and affordability.
The all-new Sport trim distinguishes itself from other Fits design-wise, with an aggressive aero-form front spoiler and rear diffuser, bright orange pin-striping, 16-inch aluminum alloy wheels with gloss-black finish, chrome exhaust-pipe finisher, and side sill garnishes. The Sport’s cabin features a black interior with orange contrast stitching.
For the first time, the Honda Sensing suite of advanced safety and driver assistive features comes standard on EX and above trims, and is available on all models. Other new tech upgrades for the 2018 Fit include a 7-inch Display Audio touchscreen featuring Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, which is found on the Fit Sport, EX, and EX-L trims.
The new Fit is powered by a 1.5-liter DOHC direct-injected 4-cylinder i-VTEC engine with Variable Cam Timing (VTC), which produces up to 130 horsepower and up to 114 lb-ft of torque. The vehicle’s driving dynamics have also been improved by the addition of retuned suspension dampers, a more rigid steering system, and additional body reinforcements.
The new 2018 Honda Fit also boasts increased cabin quietness, improved transmission, and steering system mounting hardware.
