2019 Chevy Malibu Now Available in the Middle East
Markets in the Middle East have a new option to offer car buyers: the well-equipped 2019 Chevy Malibu. The family sedan, which offers U.S. buyers three engine options, will give buyers in the Middle East two engine options, the standard 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine and available 2.0-liter turbocharged engine. In the Middle East, the 1.5-liter engine delivers 163 horsepower compared to the U.S. version, which delivers 160 horsepower, according to GM Authority writer Anthony Alaniz. The 2.0-liter turbocharged engine generates the same horsepower, 250, in both the U.S. and Middle East.

“The 2019 Malibu has been extremely well received in our market, which comes as no surprise given it’s the most technologically advanced vehicle to bear the nameplate to date,” said Ahmed Soudodi, head of brand at Chevrolet Middle East & Africa. “I am confident it will continue the winning streak of its predecessor in the region.”
The interior of the Malibu is the same, offering sedan fans advanced infotainment technology and safety features. Smartphone integration is standard with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as is the 8-inch Chevrolet Infotainment 3 System. An OnStar 4G LTE with built-in Wi-Fi hotspot is available to increase seamless connectivity as is Remote Start for added convenience. The 10 airbags system and Rear Vision Camera are standard safety features.
“Fully equipped, the 2019 Chevrolet Malibu has the most comprehensive active safety features, which is paramount given its remit as a family car” added Soudodi.
