The new colors are designed to represent, complement and blend with colors that previously and beautifully adorned Volkswagen vehicles.
“Viper Green Metallic, originally found on the European Mk 3 Scirocco, and later featured on the Lamborghini Huracán, has been the most popular color to date in Canada. Other colors that will resonate with enthusiasts include Deep Blue Pearl from the Mk 4 and Mk 5 R32, Ginster Yellow from the 1997 Driver’s Edition GTI, and Mars Red from the Mk 1 GTI,” reports Volkswagen.

Price for a custom color is $2,500 and requires two to four months to complete. To help buyers decide which color to choose, VW.com will soon feature a builder tool. The website tool will allow buyers to apply each one of the 40 custom color options to see exactly how each would look on the model via the online 360-degree colorizer. If buyers would prefer to see the colors in all of their non-online glory, they can visit their local VW dealer; a color sample kit should be making its way to dealerships soon.
