Earlier this year, Lincoln showed that there’s plenty of life left in the luxury sedan segment with the launch of the Continental Coach Door Edition. Boasting super-sweet suicide doors and plenty of upscale fixings, the 2019 run of just 80 cars sold out in under 48 hours. Luckily, folks who missed their chance had another starting earlier this month when the 2020 Lincoln Continental Coach Door Edition went on sale.

What’s in a Name? You’ll be shocked when you find out which president is the inspiration for the Lincoln brand name (read: you can guess who)

The new 2020 Lincoln Continental Coach Door Edition starts at $115,470 (not including destination and delivery), so it’s quite a pretty penny. What’s more, it’s a pretty penny more expensive than the vehicle that sold out last year, which started at $110,000. But the extra scratch is the result of some tasty new standard features like a floor-through rear console with hard-trim cushion table, climate controls with 4-inch display screen, wireless charging, USB and 110-volt outlets, and tablet and notebook holders. You also get a secured pass-through storage compartment, illuminated aluminum sills for the rear doors, and dual umbrella holds in the rear door.

Carrying over from the 2019 model is best-in-class second-row legroom — created by a 6-inch-longer wheelbase — Perfect Position seating, a Head-Up Display, and the buyer’s choice of Lincoln Black Label theme. You also get a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6, standard all-wheel drive, and Lincoln Black Label membership privileges like anytime car washes and complimentary annual detailing.

The 2020 Lincoln Continental Coach Door Edition went up for grabs on Oct. 4 and sales are set to wrap on Halloween (spooky!), so there’s a good chance they’re already all spoken for. Deliveries will get underway in the spring of next year.
