The much-anticipated 2020 Lincoln Corsair began hitting dealerships across the country in October, giving the luxury brand one of the most impressive SUV lineups around. The new Corsair is available with a pair of powerful turbo engines and features an insanely quiet interior that lets you soak it up. And by it, we mean the luxury.

“The all-new Corsair has all the technology and power our clients want in a package that complements their lifestyle,” says Michael Sprague, director of marketing, sales and service, The Lincoln Motor Company. “It rounds out our portfolio, providing a compelling choice in the highly competitive small premium SUV segment.”

More Lincoln SUVs: New Aviator earns high praise in the press

In terms of performance, the standard is a 2.0-liter turbo-four that delivers an impressive 250 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. An available 2.3-liter turbo-four ups the output to 295 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque, and both engines are standard with a new eight-speed automatic transmission and available with intelligent all-wheel drive with AWD disconnect.

Despite its impressive power, the Lincoln Corsair offers a peaceful ride thanks to Active Noise Control and cutting-edge sound deadening. The Corsair leverages sheet-molded composite in a dual-wall dashboard that keeps engine noise at (and in the) bay, and ACN uses microphone to pick up unwanted noises and cancel them out with soundwaves.

Building on all of this are six symphonic chimes recorded by the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, which replace typical alert sounds ala the Lincoln Aviator, and a 15-speaker Revel audio system. The Corsair is roomy with more second-row legroom than the Acura RDX and Lexus NX, and its available 24-way Perfect Position seats ensure superior comfort up front.

The Corsair also debuts a new Beyond Blue interior package, which builds on the sense of calm and spaciousness with tasteful blue and white accents. Also new for the Corsair are Cashew, when blends black and tan, and the soft gray and Ebony environment of Medium Slate.

Tech-wise, the Corsair boasts standard Lincoln Co-Pilot360, standard Wi-Fi connectivity, available Phone As A Key functionality, available wireless charging, and an available Head-Up Display. This means the Corsair is stylish, spacious, and smart, which makes it an ideal complement to the Lincoln Navigator, Aviator, and Nautilus, completing the one-two-three-four punch of the Lincoln SUV lineup.

“Lincoln Corsair offers the technology, performance, and luxurious amenities usually only seen on larger vehicles,” says Sprague. “It brings signature Lincoln features our clients have come to love, first on Navigator and then on Aviator, in a small SUV package that’s perfect for clients with active lifestyles.”
