#Skeletakeover: Skeletor has taken over Honda’s Twitter account and internet shenanigans have ensued

In Honda’s latest batch of holiday-themed ads, a host of classic toys ranging from Stretch Armstrong to Strawberry Shortcake shill for the Japanese automaker’s new Accords, Odysseys, and CR-Vs. Today it seems that the ad campaign’s most malicious action figure has seized control of the car company’s social media platforms, as now Skeletor has taken over Honda’s Twitter account:

Warning that “no one is safe,” He-Man’s arch-nemesis has taken to poking fun at various other brands, from People magazine:

Skeletor seems to have some trouble understanding the intricacies of internet lingo – for example, he thought that #ManCrushMonday referred to the man who he would most like to physically crush to death, which led him to naturally declare He-Man to be his “man crush.” (Skeletor later realized the true meaning of #mcm, though he has yet to reveal who his real man crush is).

It seems pretty obvious that this #Skeletakeover is a (fairly clever) PR stunt by Honda, but some seem to think that the automaker has actually been hacked. Considering that Skeletor has yet to tweet a picture of his “bone,” I think it’s safe to say that this is not a legitimate Twitter hacking.
