New Shelby FP350S Racecar Can Be Purchased at Ford Dealerships [VIDEO]
Not to be outdone by FCA’s recent announcement that it will be releasing an all-wheel drive Dodge Challenger, Ford Performance decided to up the ante by revealing its new Shelby FP350S racecar.
The Shelby FB350S is based on the Shelby GT350R Mustang and this new Ford racecar has been designed to compete in NASA, Trans Am, and SCCA club racing. In addition, unlike the Shelby GT350R which can be driven legally on public roadways, the Shelby FB350S is designed specifically for the race track and that’s about the only place where it’s legal to drive it.

The FB350S comes straight from the factory with a 5.2-liter V8 engine, six-speed Tremec manual transmission, and a race-oriented exhaust system. Furthermore, the driver will be protected by a six-point FIA-compliant roll cage and ultra-high-performance brakes.
“Our goal has always been to provide those who want to race with equipment that enables them to compete and win,” said Global Director of Ford Performance Dave Pericak. “Shelby FP350S is our latest example.”
Some of the other distinguishing features of the Shelby FB350S include a huge carbon fiber wing, a Ford Performance splitter, and unique 19-inch wheels. Each buyer also has the option of adding Shelby FB350S custom graphics, as well as a forged 18 x 11-inch race wheel package.
Inside the racecar, there’s a quick-release steering wheel and Sparco FIA-complaint racing seat.
Those people who are interested in racing the Shelby FB350S will be able to order it soon from Ford dealerships in the United States.
The blue oval has yet to announce pricing information.
