Autotrader Deems Kia’s CPO Program One of the Best
Buying a used car can be a total hassle. Some pre-owned lots (or just everyday people) can give you the runaround and you end up being completely frustrated when all is said and done. Many automakers have Certified Pre-Owned programs that ensure customers receive quality vehicles with absolute peace of mind. Kia’s CPO program was recently named one of the best by online automotive authority Autotrader for the second year in a row.

“Being recognized as one of the 10 best CPO programs for the second year in a row is further proof of Kia’s ‘Give It Everything’ spirit,” said Bill Peffer, vice president, sales operations, Kia Motors America. “Kia’s high-quality CPO vehicles offer shoppers outstanding value and peace of mind.”
To be considered a Kia CPO vehicle, the car must undergo a meticulous 164-point Quality Assurance inspection completed by Kia certified technicians. On top of this, the vehicle must be five years or newer and must have less than 60,000 miles on its odometer. Once a vehicle qualifies for Kia CPO status, it’s equipped with Kia’s 10-year/100,000-mile limited powertrain warranty and the 12-month/12,000-mile Platinum Coverage, which can include small items like brake pads, door handles, upholstery, and more, depending on what the dealership decides to cover.
The largest benefit Autotrader found in Kia’s CPO program is that of the 10-year/100,000-mile warranty. Even if the owner doesn’t keep the vehicle for the full warranty period, it’s still available for the next person to use when they purchase that same vehicle, meaning the resale value is higher than most pre-owned vehicles.
