The Absent-Minded Professor
In this 1961 family comedy classic, Fred MacMurray plays a scatterbrained scientist who creates an antigravity substance called “Flubber” and uses it to make his 1915 Ford Model T fly. If you’re in the mood for more slapstick antics, Disney Plus also has the inferior sequel, Son of Flubber, and the inferior Robin Williams-starring 1997 remake, Flubber.
The Love Bug
The Love Bug (1968) is the first and best of several movies starring Herbie, the adorably sentient Volkswagen Beetle. If one madcap racing adventure isn’t enough, Disney Plus has four sequels you can watch, too: Herbie Rides Again, Herbie Goes to Monte Carlo, Herbie Goes Bananas, and Herbie: Fully Loaded.

Tron
This groundbreaking 1982 sci-fi adventure stars Jeff Bridges as a software who ends up inside a virtual world. In one of the movie’s most iconic computer-animated setpieces, three characters race each other on futuristic “Light Cycles.” You can see more technologically advanced Light Cycle racing in the 2010 sequel, Tron: Legacy.
Miracle in Lane 2
This heartwarming 2000 movie, which originally aired on the Disney Channel, tells the story of a wheelchair-bound boy with a knack for soapbox derby racing.
Motocrossed
Another Disney Channel movie, Motocrossed (2001) follows a girl determined to break into the predominantly male world of motocross racing.
Right on Track
The third Disney Channel movie on this list, Right on Track (2003) is pretty much Motocrossed except with junior drag racing (it’s also notable for being one of Brie Larson’s earliest roles).
Cars
This big Pixar animated hit from 2006 follows the adventures of Lightning McQueen, Doc Hudson, and a whole world of anthropomorphic talking cars. You’ll also find both sequels, Cars 2 and Cars 3, on Disney Plus.
Iron Man 2
Most of the Marvel movies on Disney Plus offer up plenty of hot-car eye candy. Iron Man 2 (2010) gets top billing here because, in addition to showcasing a pair of Tony Stark’s favored Audi R8 models, it also features a thrilling sequence that takes place during a Formula One event at Grand Monaco Racing Track.
Wreck-It Ralph
Glitchy, plucky, and born to race, Vanellope von Schweetz steals the show with her speedy skills in this 2012 animated film.
Mickey and the Roadster Racers
Perfect for pint-sized Disney Plus viewers, this animated TV show features three seasons (so far) of silly car-racing action.
