“The Ultimate Driving Experience is grounded in BMW’s passion for providing driving enthusiasts with the opportunity to get behind the wheel,” said Trudy Hardy, Vice President, Marketing, BMW of North America. “Incorporating the Teen Driving School into the Experience is an important component of BMW’s continued effort to teach safe driving practices and to educate teens about the dangers of texting and driving.”
The BMW Teen Driving School is a free, four-hour course that puts teens behind the wheel of an X3 or 3 Series car in order to help better their road awareness and skill levels. A major point of focus is distracted driving and teaching young drivers the importance of being focused on the road.
Other events scheduled for Ultimate Driving Experience tour stops include:
- Self-guided, hands-on demos of the BMW 335i Sedan and X5 xDrive50i
- Street Drives that allow for 30-minute test drives of BMW vehicles including the 2 Series, 4 Series, 6 Series, and i3;
- The two-hour Autocross closed-course driving program that features BMW’s Professional Driving Instructor teaching advanced driving theories and defensive driving techniques from the wheel of the BMW 2 Series and 5 Series
- Car Control Clinic driving school (cost: $650), which provides drivers the chance to pilot an M3 or M235i in one-on-one driving sessions with BMW Professional Drivers.
