Buick Enclave Manages to Outsell the Buick Encore in November
Buick's best-selling model was outsold by its larger cousin, while Buick's overall sales fell 3% last month
As is the case for a large portion of the automotive industry right now, crossovers and SUVs are currently making up a majority of Buick’s overall vehicle sales. Such was the case last month, where models like the Enclave and the Envision reigned supreme in terms of sales.
Nevertheless, November did have a slightly surprising outlier for Buick. Sales for the Buick Encore, generally Buick’s best-selling model, were down by 12.8%.
Generating Enclave Interest: Enclave is the most Googled vehicle
The Buick Enclave even managed to outsell the Encore last month. While Buick sold 6,248 Encore models in November, it sold 6,584 Enclave vehicles during the same time period.
This fact isn’t so surprising when you learn that Enclave sales were up by a massive 87.7% last month. The Buick Enclave’s sales performance in November greatly differs from its year-to-date sales performance, which is down by 10.3%.
Redesigning the Regal: 2018 Buick Regal TourX adds adventure to the Buick lineup
Unlike its utility models, Buick’s lineup of cars didn’t fare so well last month. Buick LaCrosse sales were down by 28.6%, with just 1,734 units sold throughout the month.
Sales for the Buick Regal were on an even steeper decline, down by 55.3%. Buick is hoping that two new Regal designs will generate more interest for its passenger car model.
At the end of the month, Buick sold 17,974 vehicles, a 3% decrease from its vehicle sales during November of 2016. So far this year, Buick’s overall sales are on a 5.5% decline.
