Check Out the Steering Wheel on the 2020 Corvette Stingray

Square wheels and fast cars might not sound like a match made in heaven, but square steering wheels are a different story. Just like the LaFerrari, the 2020 Corvette Stingray sports a squared-off steering wheel alongside its high-performance mid-engine design.

Reasons for square steering wheels
While the C7 Corvette has a flat-bottomed wheel, the 2020 Corvette Stingray goes a step further by flattening the top. Although squared-off wheels have recently been in vogue for performance vehicles, they offer more than just distinctive aesthetics. On the practical side, the new wheel offers better visibility and more clearance for your knees. The squarish design also gives you an intuitive, tactile sense of the wheel’s orientation.
Stylistically, the new leather-wrapped wheel evokes European supercars, but with a Corvette twist. It has two sleek, sloped spokes, and it’s emblazoned with the signature Corvette logo. The wheel sports contrast stitching along with a center marker that helps you maintain proper alignment. Of course, it has a boatload of buttons and a pair of shiny paddle shifters. Its left side bears the cruise control buttons, while the right has a directional pad that controls the infotainment system, right beside the voice command trigger. The paddle shifters appear substantial, too — a big step up from the flimsy shifters in the C7.
