At the 2019 SEMA Show, many new Chevrolet components and vehicles, including Camaro and Corvette models, were displayed. On November 6th, Chevrolet also introduced the Silverado HD Z71 Sport Concept at the show.

New Upgrades for 2020: Chevrolet Silverado HD

Features of the concept model

The Chevrolet Silverado HD Z71 Sport Concept features the concept Z71 Sport Package. This package adds high-intensity LED headlamps, a body-color Chevrolet grille bar with chrome grille inserts, body-color rear and front bumpers, body-color door handles, a spray-on bedliner, off-road tires, and custom exterior graphics.

The package also includes stylish black Silverado badging, skid plates, Chevrolet Bow Ties, and a Chevrolet Bow Tie that’s located on the steering wheel. The standard Z71 Off-Road package currently comes with electronic Hill Descent Control, a metal underbody shield, and Rancho® shocks.

The concept Z71 Sport Package differs from the Z71 Off-Road package in that it adds exterior features, like the black skid plates, which give the truck a bolder look.

The concept shown at the SEMA show is based on the 2020 Chevrolet Silverado HD. The concept truck was equipped with the optional Trailer Package and the 6.6-liter V8 engine, which paired to a six-speed automatic transmission.

The 2020 Silverado HD gives you the option of a gas engine and a diesel engine. The diesel engine pairs with a 10-speed automatic transmission to reach 445 horsepower and 910 lb-ft of torque. With this engine, you can tow up to 35,500 pounds when properly equipped.

Trucking With the Family: 2019 Chevrolet trucks for families

While Chevrolet hasn’t confirmed whether or not the concept Z71 Sport Package on the Chevrolet Silverado HD Z71 Sport Concept will become a new package, there’s hope that Chevrolet will release a production version in the future.
