Chevy Corvette Receives Price Increase Next Year
Customers should expect to pay anywhere between $400 and $2,500 more for Chevrolet's signature performance vehicle in 2019
So far this year, the Chevrolet Corvette has experienced a 21.2 percent sales decrease. However, that hasn’t stopped Chevy from increasing the price of the Corvette starting next year.
Depending on the Corvette model you choose, that price increase can range anywhere between $405 and $2,500.

The Corvette Stingray Coupe will reportedly experience the smallest sales increase. Currently it costs $55,495. In 2019, it will carry a $55,900 price tag.
Meanwhile, the Corvette ZR1 will see the most significant price increases. The coupe model of the ZR1 will now cost customers $120,900, an increase of $2,000 compared to this year’s price.
Still, it is the Corvette ZR1 Convertible that will be the priciest Corvette model. Its new price point is set at $125,400, an increase of $2,500 compared to its old asking price of $122,900.
The Corvette vehicles aren’t the only components due for a price increase. Several available features for the Corvette will also cost more next year.
For example, the Corvette’s available eight-speed automatic transmission will now cost drivers $1,995 instead of $1,725. Due to the fact that 80 percent of Corvettes sold come equipped with the automatic drivetrain, most Corvette customers will receive an additional cost on top of the increasing cost of the performance model.

So far this year, Chevrolet has delivered 14,881 Corvette vehicles across the U.S. By this point in 2018, Chevrolet’s Corvette sales totaled 18,891 units.
Still, the Chevy Corvette has a very devoted fanbase who are unlikely to abandon the iconic Chevy vehicle. With that said, new customers considering which performance sports car to buy may be deterred a bit by the Corvette’s growing cost.
