Chevy Sales Up 4.8 Percent in November, Trucks and Crossovers Continue Hot Streak

Chevrolet truck sales were up for the 20th consecutive month this past November, and sales of the brand’s crossovers were up for the 12th straight month. Thanks to that 10% gain for trucks and 35% gain for crossovers, as well as a strong month from the Camaro, SS, Volt, and Impala, Chevrolet sales rose 4.8% with a total of 156,907 units delivered.

Thanks to 26% retail growth for crossovers, 12% retail growth for trucks, and 5% retail growth for cars, total retail sales in November were also up 13%, marking the eighth month of growth.

Silverado sales were up 5.1% with 45,001 units sold and Colorado sales reached 6,230 units in November, helping lead to another month of overall for trucks. With November’s totals, Silverado sales have crossed 500,000 units in the United States, and sales of the Colorado eclipsed 75,000 units. Retail sales of the Silverado in November were the highest they have been since 2006, and total Silverado sales were the highest for November since 2003.

The Equinox posted its best November sales mark ever with 19,634 units delivered, and the Traverse posted its best November retail sales mark. In terms of cars, Camaro sales were up 20.9% with 5,303 units delivered, and the Impala was up 11.4% with 10,494 units delivered.

To date, Chevrolet sales total 1,936,553 in the United States, 4.8% better than its pace through November 2014.
