Cadillacs, fashion, and coffee will all be coming together on June 2, 2016, which is the date when the Cadillac House is scheduled to open on the ground floor of Cadillac’s global headquarters in New York City.

The new Cadillac House will provide a 12,000-square-foot rotating location for events, collaborative partnerships, and vehicle exhibitions. A new Cadillac CT6 sedan, XT5 crossover, and CTS-V performance car will all be present inside the Cadillac House, but the company wants the vehicles to serve as background elements to the programs that will be featured at the location.
Cadillac has agreed to partner with art and culture magazine Visionaire, which will be creating large-scale interactive installations at the Cadillac House that will be changing every quarter. Cadillac desires that these installations become a destination where creative minds come together and draw inspiration from each other.
The ground floor of Cadillac’s global headquarters will also be home to the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) Retail Lab. This lab will allow competitively selected designers to gain real-world business experience via the custom retail store.
“The CFDA is excited to extend its partnership with Cadillac through Retail Lab and to be part in the launch of Cadillac House,” said President and CEO of the CFDA Steven Kolb. “By merging fashion, art, design and automotive, Cadillac House will be a new, dynamic destination in Hudson Square.”
Finally, New York-based specialty coffeehouse, Joe Coffee, will be opening a café at the Cadillac House to compliment the Visionaire Installations and CFDA Retail Lab. As previously stated, the Cadillac House will open its doors on June 2nd and the public can visit on weekdays from 7am to 7pm. Weekend hours will be from 10am to 7pm.
“Cadillac has built its nearly 114-year history by being at the forefront of automotive design, technology and style,” said Cadillac Chief Marketing Officer Uwe Ellinghaus. “With Cadillac House, we have an exciting opportunity to bring to life the brand’s unique passion and perspective for beyond the automotive space.”
