The 2020 Cadillac CT5 will debut at the New York International Auto Show in April. In anticipation of this, Cadillac has released early photos and unique video of its new performance sedan.

Photos from Cadillac indicate that the CT5 will mix sedan and fastback design elements.  It will carry a standard 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo engine and offer an available 3.0-liter Twin Turbo V6 option as well. Both engines will be mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission.

Cadillac didn’t offer many details about the interior of the CT5, noting only that it will offer a “driver-centric cockpit,” sound optimization, and active noise cancellation, mixing “high tech and high touch for an exceptional blend of control tactility.”

The CT5 will be available in at least three trim options: Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Sport. It will be built at GM’s Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan.

Part of the rollout for the XT5 involves a series of “Sensory Symphony” videos released on the luxury brand’s YouTube and social media sites. These videos employ autonomous sensory meridian response techniques (ASMR) to highlight elements of the car’s design and draw in viewers.

“The Cadillac CT5 is meant to overwhelm all of the senses, and that’s why we’re using ASMR-style videos to showcase its features,” said Cadillac Chief Marketing Officer Deborah Wahl. “The ‘Sensory Symphony’ videos are designed to convey for viewers the same satisfying feeling that arises from driving the car.”

In the videos, viewers can hear the heightened rev of the CT5’s Twin Turbo engine, audio from its Bose sound system, and the sound of a special camouflage wrap being removed to fully reveal the exterior.
