Five Chrysler Group Models Lead in Top Quality Awards
Strategic Vision recently released the results of its 2014 Total Quality Index. While Kia and Audi led as overall brands, Chrysler Group was happy to claim five segment first place finishes. The Dodge Dart and the Dodge Durango each topped their segments for the second year in a row. The Dodge Charger, Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, and Ram 2500/3500 also claimed top spots this year.
Specifically, the Dodge Dart tied with the Mitsubishi Lancer for first in the Small Car segment, while the Dodge Durango and the Dodge Charger took first in the Mid-Size SUV and Full-Size Car divisions, respectively. The Jeep Wrangler Unlimited managed a first place in the Entry SUV category, and the Ram 2500/3500 shared top honors in the Heavy-Duty Truck category with the Chevy Silverado 2500/3500 and the Ford F-250/-350.
“This is the second consecutive year for Dodge Dart and Durango to be recognized for Total Quality, and it’s great news to add Dodge Charger, Jeep® Wrangler Unlimited and Ram 2500/3500 to the list of honorees,” said Doug Betts, Senior Vice President, Quality, Chrysler Group. “Our quality efforts focus on maximizing the things that excite consumers about new vehicles while also minimizing any dislikes or inconveniences. These holistic Total Quality awards help reinforce Chrysler Group’s ongoing product improvements.”
Strategic Vision surveyed more than 38,000 new car owners on aspects such as problems, driving excitement, and reliability, to determine the overall winners—those with the highest Total Quality.
