A new era of design

There’s no denying that the 2021 QX60 Monograph has a strikingly different new look. In a bold departure from the previous model year, the 2021 QX60 Monograph looks sculpted, sleek, and minimalist, in comparison to its slightly plain and straightforward predecessor. The new model boasts a wider, lower stance, along with more athletic-looking proportions.
Alfonso Albaisa, Senior Vice President of INFINITI Global Design weighed in, stating, “In crafting this Monograph, we wanted to change the tonality of the QX60 and transform the nameplate from a sculptural and architectural point of view.” Translated into normal people language, he’s saying that they made it look cooler now.
An online global unveiling

INFINITI chairman Peyman Kargar made some opening statements during the model’s online reveal. “Today we give you a sneak peek into the direction our designers are taking the future QX60. We kept the space and functionality our customers love while taking the design in a markedly new direction.”
This statement seems to indicate that the new model is primarily focused on a new exterior design. The contents of its interior are pure speculation at this point, but it wouldn’t be outlandish to expect some of its more luxurious elements to return. The 2020 model offered climate-controlled front seats, a rear-seat entertainment system, and several leather seating options. For the 2021 Monograph model, a few interior upgrades would be welcome. INFINITI could up the ante by offering wireless smartphone connectivity and a larger available infotainment touch-screen display. The current offering tops out at an 8-inch screen, which is certainly adequate — it just seems a little standard in the competitive world of three-row luxury SUVs.

The 2021 INFINITI QX60 Monograph will go into production in early 2021 and hit Canadian dealership lots later that year.
