Batman famously drives the Batmobile, but what kind of celebrity ride does Superman pilot? It seems pretty unnecessary for an alien with the ability to fly and leap tall buildings in a single bound to spend a lot of time stuck in traffic—but if the Man of Steel did want a daily driver, what would be his chosen set of wheels?

Well, it would certainly have to be an American automobile, it would probably have to be a muscle car, and there’s a good chance it would be named after Kal-El’s home planet of Krypton… so, perhaps a Chevy Camaro Krypton?

The beat writers over at the Daily Planet GM Authority are reporting that on May 5, 2015, General Motors filed an application with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) to register the names “Krypton” and “Camaro Krypton” as trademarks.

GM registered the term “Krypton” for “motor land vehicles, namely, automobiles, sport utility vehicles, trucks and vans,” while designating “Camaro Krypton” for just “motor land vehicles, namely, automobiles.”

Krypton happens to be a real element (#36 on the periodic table, #1 in our hearts); a noble gas characterized by sharp emission lines of green and yellow. So it’s possible that the name trademark just means that there is going to be a special neon green edition of the 2016 Camaro coming out.

But, couldn’t it also be possible that a superhero-themed special-edition Camaro Krypton is going to appear in the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (alongside a rumored Cadillac cameo)?

We can certainly hope.
