“The IQS looks at problems reported per 100 vehicles with the average sitting at 93 problems per 100 vehicles. Chevrolet came in sixth with 85 problems per 100 vehicles,” report GM Authority writer Sean Szymkowski.
The sixth place ranking in the 2019 study mirrors Chevy’s placement in last year’s survey.
The criteria of the study involves the responses from lessees and owners of vehicles who have owned their vehicles for 90 days. Eight categories filter the 233 questions. Survey respondents are asked about powertrain problems, Bluetooth connectivity performance, infotainment issues, and more.
According to Szymkowski, four Chevy models took top honors in their respective segments in the IQS — Chevrolet Equinox, Chevrolet Tahoe, Chevrolet Silverado HD, and Chevrolet Malibu.
“GM placed second for the parent automaker to receive the most awards with a total of five,” adds Szymkowski.
The 2019 Chevrolet Equinox is a small SUV capable of big adventures. When properly equipped, it boasts an available towing max of 3,500 pounds, and with the seats in the second row folded down, it reveals 63.9 cubic feet of cargo space, perfect for adventure gear.
The 2019 Chevrolet Tahoe offers impressive versatility with seating configurations for either seven or eight. The full-size SUV also offers best-in-class V8 fuel economy on the highway.
