Lincoln and SiriusXM Give New Car Buyers Multiyear Services
Starting with the 2015 lineup, all new Lincoln vehicles equipped with navigation will come standard with a six-year subscription to SiriusXM Traffic and SiriusXM Travel Link, Lincoln and SiriusXM announced this week.
“Lincoln has offered SiriusXM Traffic and SiriusXM Travel Link on vehicles since 2009, and we are proud of the confidence Lincoln has shown in satellite-delivered information and entertainment services,” said Rodney Pickett, Senior Vice President, Automotive Partnerships, SiriusXM. “Alongside SiriusXM’s unparalleled variety of audio entertainment, SiriusXM Traffic and SiriusXM Travel Link make an already extraordinary driving experience better than ever.”
This means that any customer purchasing a 2015 MKC or the soon-to-be-released 2015 Navigator will have six years’ worth of access to features such as:
- Navigation that color-codes roads to indicate traffic speed
- Traffic alerts with information on accidents, hazards, construction, and closure
- Alternate route guidance to allow drivers to circumnavigate traffic
- Up-to-date fuel price information with sortable categories such as price, distance, and brand
- Movie listings, ratings, and start times
- Schedules and scores for college and pro sports
Lincoln and SiriusXM will also be offering six months of SiriusXM’s All Access Package to those customers who purchase a 2015 Lincoln equipped with satellite radio. The All Access Package includes all NFL games and NASCAR® races, MLB Network Radio™, Oprah Radio®, and Howard Stern, as well as access through smartphone and browsers.
