Lincoln Navigator’s 20-speaker Revel Ultima audio system scores with J.D. Power

J.D. Power released its 2020 U.S. Multimedia Quality and Satisfaction Study results in September. The 2020 Lincoln Navigator — or, more specifically, its available Revel Ultima sound system — took top honors for speakers among midsize and large premium SUVs.

Like other J.D. Power satisfaction surveys, the U.S. Multimedia Quality and Satisfaction Study rates vehicle attributes on a scale of up to 1,000. Lincoln shared the highest score in the study with Harman — the audio supplier for the Revel Ultima sound system’s speakers — earning 959 points.
The 2020 Lincoln Navigator’s most robust audio option is the 20-speaker Revel Ultima Audio System. In addition to capitalizing on the Navigator’s capacious cabin for optimal speaker placement, the system boasts three sound modes (Stereo, Audience, and Onstage), allowing for a unique experience depending on the soundtrack.
This helped the Lincoln Navigator earn the No. 2 ranking for its segment in the Overall Multimedia Customer Quality and Satisfaction Index. With infotainment, navigation, and audio all considered, the Navigator scored 925 points.
Earlier this year, the Lincoln Navigator earned the top honor for large luxury SUVs in the J.D. Power U.S. APEAL Study for the third year in a row.
Corsair earns top honors for navigation

Lincoln’s new Corsair also showed up and showed out in the J.D. Power 2020 U.S. Multimedia Quality and Satisfaction Study. The 2020 Lincoln Corsair took the top spot in the small and compact premium crossover segment for its touch-screen navigation system. Lincoln’s voice-activated navigation technology, supplied by Telenav, earned a score of 927.
The Lincoln Corsair also ranked second in its segment for its SYNC multimedia interface and third for its Revel speakers. SYNC earned a score of 909 points while the Corsair’s 14-speaker Revel Audio System earned a score of 940.
This was enough to earn the 2020 Lincoln Corsair the No. 2 spot among small and compact luxury crossovers with an overall score of 909. The features that earned the Corsair its high ranking here are among those that earned it a spot among Autotrader’s 10 Best Car Interiors Under $50,000 earlier this year.
The J.D. Power 2020 U.S. Multimedia Quality and Satisfaction Study surveyed 87,282 individuals. Each person surveyed between February and May of this year is either a purchaser or lessee of a new 2020 model-year vehicle within their first 90 days of ownership.
