Mazda CX-5 and CX-9 Win Spots in Car and Driver’s 10Best List
When a car wins an award once, it’s pretty good. If a specific line wins multiple years in a row, you know it’s great. Mazda’s CX-5 and CX-9 won spots in Car and Driver’s 10Best Trucks and SUVs list for the second year in a row. For the CX-9, this is the third consecutive win for Best Mid-Size SUV.
Dare to Compare: See how Mazda stacks up against its competitors
One of the biggest distinguishing factors is not a surprising one for a Mazda: How fun and enjoyable they were to drive. Car and Driver threw their weight behind the CX-9’s driving dynamics in particular, writing, “If you need a three-row SUV, you will not find a better-driving, more satisfying one than the Mazda CX-9. Period.”
The CX-5 was also praised for its driving dynamic, which was compared to the upsized performance of a Miata. Besides its superior driving, the CX-5 sports a refined interior with quality materials and technology fit for a luxury car. The CX-9 saw some upgrades as well, such as a newly tuned suspension and a quieter cabin.
