About the award

A panel of 41 women judges from 34 different countries awarded the Mazda3 with the prestigious title at the Dubai International Motor Show. Each of the judges is a published journalist who specializes in the automotive industry.

So, what kind of criteria were they considering? Since 2009, the panel has scored cars based on the following categories: Aesthetic Appearance, Child–Friendliness, Color, Ease-of-Driving, Environmental Footprint, Safety, Sex Appeal, Storage Space, and Value-for-Money.

The jurors further elaborate that the winning car isn’t always the one with the fastest 0-60 time or the most power. It’s about spotlighting an all-around capable, appealing car that meets women’s demands.
