Mazda3 Voted Kelley Blue Book’s No. 1 Coolest Car Under $18,000…Again
So, the votes are in: the Mazda3 is still cool. For the second year in a row, the Mazda3 has been voted the No. 1 Coolest Car Under $18,000 by the editors of Kelley Blue Book. Of course, last year wasn’t the Mazda3’s first time on the list. No, that came all the way back when the car was released in 2003. Since then, the Mazda3 has been on the list every year, giving it an impressive 12-year cool streak.

Cars on the list are rated on two factors: how fun it is to drive the car and how fun it is to own the car. Also, of course, they are all available for under $18,000, based on KBB’s Fair Purchase Price.
The Mazda3 is certainly at the forefront of technology, featuring Mazda’s SKYACTIV technology and “KODO – Soul of Motion” features such as i-ELOOP (for fuel economy), Mazda Connect (for infotainment), and i-Activsense (for safety). As a result, it is one of the most fuel-efficient cars in its class with 30/41 mpg city/highway.
