Mitsubishi Mirage Sedan May Join Hatchback Version in North America

Quite possibly. We stumbled upon speculation over at HybridCars.com and understand their curiosity. As of now, the Mirage is only offered here as a hatchback, but according to some goings-on up north, we might see a Mitsubishi Mirage sedan hit North America—or at least Canada.

Currently, Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada (or MMSCAN) is seeking out Canadians’ opinions on the sedan version. Do they like the look? How does it feel behind the wheel? Would they be able to afford—and be comfortable affording—the sedan? If this research, being conducted at Canadian auto shows, goes well, the Mitsubishi Mirage sedan (called the Mirage G4) could be given the go-ahead in Canada.

Does that mean we in the States would get our chance at a Mirage G4? No clue. We gleaned the article was only concerned with Canada, but it’s likely that if Mitsubishi is going to develop the Mirage G4 for Canadian soil that we can expect a Mistubishi Mirage sedan on American roadways as well.

The current Mirage sedan, which is sold in Asian markets, features a Keyless Operating System, an Anti-Lock Braking System, Electronic Brake Force Distribution, and power-side mirrors with integrated LED lamps. The Mirage sedan sits on 15-inch alloy wheels.

If the Mirage G4 hit American roadways, would you be willing to take it out for a spin? Let us know your thoughts below!
