Mobile DJ “Cars” Character Makes His Way to Disney’s Hollywood Studios
DJ, a interactive party vehicle, will make his debut at the park alongside its latest attraction, Lightning McQueen's Racing Academy
Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy, a brand-new interactive show starring the cast from Pixar’s Cars films, is set to open at Disney’s Hollywood Studios at the end of this month. However, that won’t be the only Cars-based attraction coming to the theme park.
Disney is also sending the DJ character to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Those how have gotten the chance to visit the Cars Land area at Disney California Adventure may recognize DJ as “the ultimate party on wheels.” This interactive character blares tunes while cruising up and down the streets of Radiator Springs.
Now, DJ is making his way to the East Coast, specifically Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Disney has even set up a small video showcasing his journey.
Disney reports that several times a day, DJ will host the “DJ’s Ready! Set! Party Time!” event. During this, guests can take part in automotive-themed dances and games.
DJ won’t be the only Cars character to make an appearance at the Orlando theme park. Guests can also take part in a meet-and-greet staring Cruz Ramirez, a racing vehicle who first appeared in 2017’s Cars 3.

Still, Lightning McQueen will serve as the star of the new attraction bearing his name. Housed in a two-story theater, Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy will feature an animatronic Lightning McQueen figure, as well as a wrap-around screen.
Disney guests won’t have to wait much longer for the Racing Academy to open its doors this weekend. That’s just the first of many new attractions coming to the Disney parks this year.
