Mustang6G Offers Speculative Render of Slimmed-Down 2015 Mustang
Late this summer, Edmunds.com reported that Ford intends to cut at least 400 pounds of curb weight from the 2015 Mustang, leaving us to speculate just what a slimmer ‘Stang would look like. Mustang6G.com forums user Chazcron decided to take action and used Ford CAD images and spy photos to create an ultra-realistic render of what drivers may be in store for in the near future. And if Chazcron’s vision is anywhere close to accurate, this slimmed-down muscle car seems poised to amaze.
Of course, the work-ups are anything but official, but they certainly look professionally done. Created by using what little information about the 2015 model was handy, Chazcron’s Mustang is a snazzy looking thing: it features louvered tail lights, aggressive rear diffuser, and a lofty double-bubble roof.
For those waiting for a look at the real thing, you may not have long to wait: Auto Blog is reporting that Ford might reveal the slimmed-down 2015 Mustang by Christmas and that teaser images are expected to begin trickling out very soon. The leaner-and-meaner Ford Mustang is expected to debut officially at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show.
