The new Chevrolet Tracker launched in China this month at Auto Chongqing 2019, bolstering the bowtie brand’s SUV lineup by giving drivers a stylish and versatile option that slots below the popular Equinox. The Tracker will be available in six trims, including four Redline variants that make it one of the sportier-looking options in the segment.

“The Tracker small SUV and the Trailblazer compact SUV, which will be launched in the second half of this year, will complement the Equinox midsize SUV in the important SUV segment for Chevrolet,” said Scott Lawson, general director of Chevrolet for SAIC-GM. “The brand’s unique trims such as Redline are giving our customers an even greater variety of choices to cater to their individual needs and preferences.”

The new Tracker is the latest Chevrolet vehicle in China to get the Redline treatment, joining the Equinox, Cruze, Orlando, Malibu XL, Monza, and Onix. The Tracker Redline gets the hallmark black and red accents, including a black bowtie on the grille and red trim on the rearview mirrors.

Powering the Tracker are an eighth-generation Ecotec 335T turbo mated to a continuously variable transmission and an eighth-gen Ecotec 325T paired with either a six-speed dynamic start/stop shift automatic transmission or a six-speed manual start/stop shift transmission.

Standard for the Tracker is MyLink+ with Apple CarPlay, Baidu CarLife, and Bluetooth technology and 24 gigs of complimentary OnStar internet use per year. Available intelligent speech recognition enables the Tracker to respond to voice commands, enabling hands-free functions including adjustment of climate control and opening or closing of the windows or sunroof.
