Nissan Goes Nerdy For Comic Con
This weekend is very important. Well, it’s very important if you are a nerd and lover of all things sci-fi, fantasy, or otherwise comic-related. That’s right, it’s time for the hallowed San Diego Comic Con (SDCC). What once was just an event for comic book readers has exploded to include hit movie franchises and TV series spun out of those comics, games (and those movies and shows that come from them), and anything nerdy. Brands are quick to attach themselves to the highly-watched event, and automakers are no exception.
Previously, Lexus had a connection with Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, and the automaker brought vehicles to Comic Con to take attendees on a ride to quiz them about the show and other Marvel properties. Scion has hosted convention afterparties, and Hyundai threw its lot in with the DC Universe. This year, Nissan got in on the fun on social media, and brought its fans along for the ride.
On Twitter and Facebook, Nissan is known for showing off pictures of its fans vehicles. Last week, Nissan asked for photos and said that they would be entered in a chance to be included in a comic. During Comic Con, the automaker’s account began to tweet out the epic rides, including an older Nissan Pathfinder, Nissan 370Z, and the all-new Nissan Maxima. Take a look at two of them below, and see more on the @NissanUSA Twitter account.

What vehicle do you think would be the best in a comic book? The Nissan GT-R would certainly be a fast decision, but the Nissan Juke would be a better fit for comics starring aliens for sure.
