Preview Chevy’s 2014 SEMA Lineup
This year, SEMA will be held from November 4th – 7th in Las Vegas, Nevada, but General Motors has given us a sneak peek ahead of the show, outlining what we can expect from Chevy’s 2014 SEMA lineup. Among the models on display will be a Cruze RS Plus Concept, an Impala Blackout Concept, a Sonic Accessories Concept, a Sonic Performance Concept, and an SS Sport Concept.
“Chevrolet’s 2015 passenger car lineup is one of the strongest and most competitive in the industry, offering customers a wide range of great-looking, great-driving and well-connected choices,” commented Paul Edwards, the vice president of Chevrolet Marketing. “They’re personal cars, too, and these concepts suggest possibilities of how to amplify Chevrolet’s heritage of performance and fun-to-drive spirit to make them even more personal.”
Chevy’s 2014 SEMA Lineup Is Innovative and Fresh
Cruze RS Plus Concept
The Cruse RS Plus Concept adds a custom Wildfire Metallic exterior to the styling cues of the RS package for the Cruze. It also features a custom rear spoiler, unique lower body moldings, and a twin-stripe package in matte black, from Chevrolet Accessories. Chevrolet Accessories also lends a hand to the interior with ambient lighting and illuminated door sills. The concept is also marked by a sport pedal kit, as well as a Kicker® subwoofer and amplifier kit. The Cruze RS Plus Concept is powered by a 1.4-liter turbo engine, with a concept fresh-air intake system.
Impala Blackout Concept
For the Impala Blackout Concept, Chevy has turned the regular Impala into a haunting menace with features like a Chevrolet Accessories black grille surround, painted mirror caps, rear spoiler, and 19-inch aluminum wheels. Inside, the leather-trimmed interior is completely blacked out—go figure—with features such as Chevrolet Accessories stainless steel sills, a sport pedal kit, and an 11-speaker Bose® Centerpoint® Surround Sound System. Powering the concept is the Impala’s 3.6-liter V6.
Sonic Accessories Concept
The Sonic Accessories Concept is unique inthat it mixes and matches a bunch of accessories available for the Sonic, including the Summit White exterior color and an offset matte black stripe; Chevrolet Accessories black grille surround, mirrors covers, rear spoiler, and 17-inch aluminum wheels; Chevrolet Accessories carpeted floor mats, door sills, and sport pedals; a suspension kit with lowered ride height; and Chevrolet Accessories white headlamp rings and tail lamps rings. The concept also shows off a Kicker® subwoofer and amplifier, and is powered by a 1.4-liter turbo Ecotec engine.
Sonic Performance Concept
This treatment gives the Sonic a number of engine performance, suspension/brakes, and appearance upgrades. Included in the package are the following:
- Chevrolet Accessories 17-inch aluminum wheels (white)
- Chevrolet Accessories carpeted floor mats, door sills, and sport pedals
- Concept ground effects package
- Chevrolet Performance Stage Kit, cold air-induction, and high-flow exhaust system
- Chevrolet Performance track-tuned suspension system
- Chevrolet Accessories white headlamp rings, tail lamp rings, grille surround, mirror covers, and rear spoiler
The Sonic Performance Concept is powered by the same 1.4-liter turbo engine in its Accessories Concept sibling and is offered in Synergy Green. The concept also boasts an abundance of safety and connected technologies.
SS Sport Concept
Still powered by a killer V8, the SS Sport Concept adds several exciting features. Wearing the Some Like It Hot Red exterior paint, the concept features a Chevrolet Accessories grille kit, fog lamp bezels, side fender vents, and rear spoiler, as well as Chevrolet Accessories floor mats, cargo tray, sport pedal kit, and cargo net. It also comes with Chevrolet Accessories wheel caps, stripes for the hood and deck lid, and high-gloss black 20-inch wheels.
Don’t miss out on Chevy’s 2014 SEMA lineup next month out in Vegas. See you there!
