Reminder: 2015 F-150 has a Plow Option
The odds are pretty good that wherever you are in the world right now, you’re probably buried under several feet of snow. If so, you certainly have my sympathy (and, to a greater degree, my empathy). If you are one of these fortunate individuals who has managed to hide themselves away from the harsh, bitter reality of winter in some warm, island paradise, then you have my raging jealousy.
If you happen to be in one of those aforementioned snow-scourged regions and also so happen to be considering a new 2015 Ford F-150, then you may want to chew on this for just a moment:
That’s right: you can equip your 2015 F-150 with a snow plow prep kit, which is available for a mere $50 extra on models equipped with the 5.0-liter V8 engine. That won’t include the plow itself, but you can find blades for as cheap as a couple hundred bucks depending on your needs.
“The new 2015 F-150 is the toughest F-150 ever, and by using more high-strength steel in its frame and advanced materials in the body, we’ve made the new truck up to 700 pounds lighter,” said Eric Peterson, Ford F-150 marketing manager. “This leads to more capability and better handling, which is exactly what you’d want for plowing. Adding a snow plow prep kit to our lineup helps ensure our customers have even more tools at their disposal to get the job done.”
So there you have it. If you live in one of those neighborhoods that Old Man Winter has turned into a grey, mountainous hellscape, you can be the shining hero with your plow-equipped F-150.
