While the SEMA show in Las Vegas isn’t open to the public, it’s still pretty cool to watch livestreams and stay up-to-date on the debuts occurring each day. On top of this, the show holds themed special events with celebrity guests throughout the four-day occasion. Here are some of the coolest events that we wish we could go to in Sin City.

WOMEN ONLY: Gear-Up Girl Networking Event

The first Gear-up Girl Networking event at SEMA was held in 2011 as part of the show’s student program. Fast forward eight years and the event is the place to be for female students to connect with the industry’s leading female professionals. On top of this networking event, SEMA hosts Women Driven seminars as an additional part of its Education Series.

From the Streets to Celebrity Chef: Street Smarts for Business

Foodies and those who enjoy a good motivational speaker will enjoy this seminar held by Chef Jeff. As someone who struggled in his early life dealing drugs, Chef Jeff eventually got through the tough times and became a TV celebrity chef and nationally acclaimed speaker. Seating for this event is limited, which makes it that much more desirable!

Cars & Coffee, SEMA Edition

While there’s no promise of Jerry Seinfeld or any of his celeb guests, we still think the idea of piping hot coffee and just as hot engines nearby is a great way to start the day. Held in Optima Alley, this daily no-ticket event offers attendees a spot to mingle with colleagues and see some awesome vehicles. Even more caffeinated car conversations are going to happen on Thursday, Nov. 7 via the Coffee and Conversations presented by WTC. Located at Inside Lower South 1 of the convention center, the talk will be all things tires and wheels.

Brew Talks

As part of the SEMA Education Series, Brew Talks is a super casual event held on Tuesday and Wednesday from 4-5 p.m. where you can buy a beer and listen to insightful conversations about the auto industry. Both events will be held by Sean Holman and will feature people from the music industry, business professionals, and, of course, auto enthusiasts.

SEMA Show Industry Awards Reception & Banquet

Everyone wants to get dressed up and feel fancy for a night in Vegas! This awards ceremony showcases the best of SEMA and includes a cocktail hour, tasty dinner, and entertainment by the Blue Man Group. Attendees will include not only automotive authorities, but some special icons, celebrities, professional drivers, and automotive supporters.

We wish we were going to SEMA this year, but we’re definitely prepping for the Detroit Auto Show in June 2020. But while we’re stuck in cold Ohio, we’ll be staying on top of all the debuts coming out of the 2019 SEMA show.
